This vehicle is an exceptionally rare Mercedes-Benz SL55 K55S, produced in a strictly limited run of just 50 units worldwide. Based on the SL55 AMG, it has been enhanced with the exclusive Lorinser GS03 wide-body kit.
Under the hood lies a V8 SOHC supercharged engine, originally delivering 500 horsepower, but further tuned by Lorinser to an impressive 578 horsepower—an increase of 78 hp. The car is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission featuring a manual shift mode, allowing gear changes with a simple flick of the lever left or right while in "D". The Vario roof, also seen on the SLK, opens or closes automatically in just 16 seconds at the touch of a button. Lightweight aluminum and magnesium construction improve comfort, handling stability, and fuel efficiency by reducing overall weight.
The exterior is fitted with the bespoke GS03 body kit, meticulously crafted by Lorinser. Only 50 sets exist worldwide. The front features a sculpted hood with a pronounced center section and a bold Lorinser grille badge. Dual side air intakes on the fenders carry polished Lorinser emblems, while the flowing side skirts seamlessly connect to the rear air intakes for a cohesive, dynamic look. At the rear, a trunk spoiler and uniquely styled bumper with a central opening give the GS03 a distinctive, elegant, and sporty finish. Completing the exterior are 20-inch Lorinser RS8 alloy wheels, further elevating its exclusive presence. With just 50 GS03 kits ever produced, this K55S based on the SL55 is believed to be a one-of-a-kind example.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in supple black leather, immediately drawing attention to the exclusive Lorinser 360 km/h speedometer. Heated and ventilated seats ensure maximum comfort, while carbon fiber accents on the steering wheel and door panels create a refined yet sporty ambiance. A panoramic glass roof floods the interior with light, enhancing the open and inviting atmosphere. The driver’s side A-pillar carries the GS03 Lorinser plaque, marking this car as number 33 of the 50 ever built.
Technology includes a Carrozzeria HDD navigation system with support for CD, DVD, full-screen TV, music server, Bluetooth, iPod, iPhone, and USB connectivity. Parking sensors and a rear-view camera provide added convenience and safety.
